Have you ever imagined of a world without law and order? It would be like “The Purge” every day. Well, I think if it weren't for religion, the world would be chaotic. By religion, I do not mean the superstitions or the stories of God. By religion, I mean the idea of consequence for your actions. Humans were savages, we used to kill without consequence and do anything we like without any consequences. Religion gave us an order, a path to follow.

Have you ever wondered why religion is there in the first place? I think that religion was created not because someone experienced something supernatural, it was created because some of the smartest people at the time decided that people needed to follow a set of rules. And the stories were created so that people would fear, whatever they did had repercussions. People weren't afraid of people, they needed something greater than them, something more powerful, so they created God. The wrath of God kept them in check. The idea of eternal torment didn't sit well with the people back then.

All religious texts in the world contain immense wisdom. These books are goldmines of philosophical enquiries. If humans didn't have religion we wouldn't be where we are right now. Whole civilisations were built on these philosophical ideologies. Even though religion isn't necessary now, it was the key to human development
